"The Atlantic salmon fishing experience at Helen Falls is one of the top 3 in the world"

The power of the George River, the sheer size, and the aggressiveness of its’ salmon that attack flies are unlike any other river experience.

The power of the George River, the sheer size, and the aggressiveness of its’ salmon that attack flies are unlike any other river experience.  The salmon congregate in our exclusive fishing section which stretches over 4 km by tens of thousands and stay there longer than anywhere else in the river given the immense rapids that slow down their upstream migration. We have a multitude of pools that form and change as the water rises and falls. So there are never bad fishing conditions and the salmon are always strong! You will not run out of attacks but will you be able to convert them into success …? This is the challenge that Helen Falls offers!  In addition to the salmon and char,  the George River also hosts a fair population of lake trout and brook trout, which are generally located below camp in the larger pools and back eddies. You will also have access to a helicopter, which you can use as you wish and subject to weather conditions where you can fish for huge arctic char or brook trout which abound not far from our camp. The thrills and memories of a lifetime are guaranteed during these outings where you will be able to observe polar bears, musk ox, not to mention unforgettable landscape; cliffs, fjords, and steep mountain valleys bordered by the majestic Torngat mountains.

"The George River is the lifeblood of Helen Falls Lodge, offering world-renowned salmon fishing in waters that remain as pristine as the day they were first discovered. With Atlantic salmon, Arctic char, and trout inhabiting these waters, each fishing expedition feels like a new frontier—your chance to experience the rush of reeling in nature’s greatest treasures."
